Fixer-uppers are always a draw. Plenty of people can’t swing a turnkey home(especially in wildly unaffordable Los Angeles), but might be able to get their hands on a place that needs some work. Others can imagine the potential of a house after some heavy renovations. (Though there’s probably some significant competition with investors for many of the houses in more desirable neighborhoods.)
