Lakers owner Jeanie Buss lands a new home court in Playa Vista

Jeanie Buss, controlling owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise, has bought a home in Playa Vista for about $2.447 million.

The Mediterranean-style home, with four bedrooms and five bathrooms in about 3,200 square feet, sits on a corner lot and has front and side courtyards. There are dark wood floors and high ceilings in the center-island kitchen, dining room and living room. The master suite sports two walk-in closets.

A covered terrace with a tiled fireplace and dining area extends from the second level. The two-way fireplace feature can also be enjoyed in the family room.

There’s also an attached three-car garage.

The three-story house came on the market in October for $2.5 million, records show.

Buss, 56, is the daughter of late businessman and Lakers owner Jerry Buss. Since taking control of the Lakers in March, she named basketball great Magic Johnson as president of basketball operations and replaced longtime general manager Mitch Kupchak with sports agent Rob Pelinka.

The Lakers are currently 10-18 on the season.
