Actor and comedian Tim Allen, known for his role as Tim ‘the Tool Man’ Taylor on the ‘90s sitcom “Home Improvement,” has sold a home in Hollywood Hills West for about $1.755 million.
Built in 1963, the ranch-style house features an open floor plan with a formal living room, a family/dining room area and a chef’s kitchen with enough seating for the entire Taylor clan plus Wilson. Vermont pine floors, rock accents and a stone fireplace lend a rustic, perhaps even manly, vibe to the 2,604 square feet of living space.
The master suite has an oversized spa and a steam shower for a total of three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
French doors open to a deck with an al fresco dining area. A fire pit, an outdoor shower and a blanket of pine trees also reside on the roughly one-third-acre of grounds.
Allen paid $1.4 million for the property two years ago, records show. The exact sale price was $1,755,225, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
